WW - Jaeger LeCoultre "Tropical" Deep Sea Alarm Diver, European market, ref E857, bumper automatic, 39mm x 47mm to lug tips, 19mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back case with faceted lugs and fixed dive bezel inset with luminous material, black nylon NATO strap, original black dial with outer chapter having turned a very attractive honey brown color, inner rotating alarm disc retains its original black matte finish, indices painted in radium with white minute track along perimeter, 17J cal K815, case s#793684, mvt s#1377934, triple signed. A great piece of not only dive watch history but of Jaeger LeCoultre history and the storied Memovox line.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, alarm functions and sets properly, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, hardly any oxide to steelwork, hardly any fine scratches to plates; excellent-plus dial with light surface spotting on chapter and center; fine-plus hands with darker aged luminous material; polished case shows light wear, lug chamfers are visible but polished, numerous light dings on lugs, bezel and case sides, alarm post has been repaired at some point and was riveted through the diver's head on the caseback; crowns show very little wear; good plastic crystal.
